Outcome

The Sleaford Moor Enterprise Park is a prime example of how sustainable construction and local investment can go hand in hand. The high-spec units and eco-conscious features provide a long-lasting foundation for business growth, while the site infrastructure ensures long-term usability and compliance with key environmental standards.

This project cements Smith Construction’s reputation for delivering large-scale, future-focused commercial developments with integrity and impact.

A key priority for the Council is to support a strong local economy in North Kesteven; including providing space for businesses to start and grow, or to move in and make the District their new home, and the creation of new jobs. Sleaford Moor Enterprise Park is that priority in action.
The Council bought the site after the private sector failed to bring it forwards, designed the development, and now phase one is complete and home to a range of businesses with initial preparations being made for phase two.
Smith Construction were committed to the scheme and these principles behind it from the very beginning – while contractual, delivery of phase one of the scheme has felt like a genuine partnership.
The team were professional and solutions-focused throughout development, including re-jigging the initial works programme in order to meet a specific deadline that arose during construction.Smith Construction also worked in harmony with our other contractor onsite, Harlaxton Engineering, to deliver a high build quality throughout phase one and took a positive approach to engaging with statutory and other stakeholders to minimise any issues.
The final result is a smart development with a high build standard and a range of features which make it stand out, from spacious and quality units with energy-saving features and EV chargers to the attractive landscape around them including native planting and a green wall to the front of the site.

The development demonstrates not only the Council’s commitment to the economy and building better for the environment, but shows what could similarly be achieved for other new-build commercial sites. The Smith Construction Team’s dedication, understanding and hard work is a key component of this success.
